There are numerous reasons why I choose to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Like you, I know someone that has it, had it, or has lost their battle with this dreadful disease.
I am walking for YOU, for everyone.I want you to know how much this means to me. I plan on wearing a ribbon in honor of anyone that has it, had it, or has lost their battle with breast cancer. While on the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this past weekend,we came upon this beautiful surprise.It was showing all it's hot "pink" glory in honor of the event.  Does anyone know the name of this tree? I believe Kimo Stowell has solved the mystery of the flowering tree.Thank you Kimo.It may be a variety of the Hawthorn Tree.  Most of the photos I could find show white flowers, it could have been grafted with another tree, not sure. It is a very beautiful tree.

This is something that everyone should watch and share with others. We all know that breast cancer can be a devastating and sometimes fatal disease if it goes undetected. Did you know that there is a form of breast cancer that is not detected through regular doctor visits, mammograms, or self breast exams? It is called inflammatory breast cancer.
