first time home buyers: Homes Are Moving in Plymouth County Massachusetts - What About You? - 03/22/10 02:55 PM
Has anyone noticed that the number of homes sold (or pending) has increased lately? There is a great deal of buzz in the real estate community about this, and many agents are busy showing properties, and writing contracts! In my area, many of the homes being sold are under $300,000.00.This price point seems to be the hot selling threshold. For instance, here are a few examples of some of the local statistics for the past month (1/22/10-2/22/10) on properties that have sold, or have offers pending under $300,000: Middleboro - 02346 9 out of 11 properties sold under $300,000. 10 out

first time home buyers: First Time Home Buyers - USE IT OR LOSE IT! - 02/04/10 09:40 AM
Are you leaving money on the table? If you are thinking about buying a new home and you have NOT started actively searching, and you qualify for the $8,000 first time home buyer tax credit, or the $6,500 long term resident tax credit then you might be leaving money on the table. Please don't wait for the government to extend the program. It is highly unlikely that the tax credit will be extended. So why not use it, rather than lose it? Pay attention to the deadline.... it is rapidly approaching. You must be under contract with a signed purchase

first time home buyers: Average or Older - Are They Included in Your Home Search? - 09/27/09 03:44 PM
Today, it seems that most Buyers are convinced that they must have newer, shinier, larger, granite, stainless and/or tile. A house must have all the modern conveniences, all the bells and whistles, and be the best in the neighborhood. Is it me, or has the modern home become more of a status symbol, rather than a place to live? A show piece rather than a place to raise a family? While you are sitting there eating your dinner in front of the television watching your Tivo'd episode from the day, night, or week before and your dining room is left in

Time to get in the car and start looking for a house! In Massachusetts, the incentive for first-time homebuyers just got better. How's that you ask? In a recent press release, Governor Deval Patrick today announced a First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit Loan Program through MassHousing that will allow first-time homebuyers to borrow up to $8,000 in advance of their federal tax credit for homes purchased with a MassHousing loan before December 1, 2009.
