home buying tips: A Watched Pot Never Boils... Or Does It? - 01/03/10 10:09 AM
A watched pot never boils equates to - something you are waiting for will not happen while you are concentrating on it. I have been thinking about this expression and how it pertains to real estate. This is what I can tell you. Many of you have been watching and waiting for prices to drop - they have! Many of you have been watching and waiting for interest rates to come down - they have! Many of you have been watching and waiting for a "specific" home to drop the price (again) only to find.....someone already beat

home buying tips: Poker Face - Do You Wear Yours When Searching for a Home? - 11/13/09 08:53 AM
When I am working with Buyer's, I explain all of the benefits of working with a Buyer's Agent. I also warn them that they should NOT disclose any personal information or express too much interest or enthusiasm when touring a property, especially when the Listing Agent is present. I tell them to put on their "poker face" and to be the one asking the questions, not answering them. Afterall, you chose to tour the house and would like to learn more about the property and area. There is no need to talk about why or when you are moving, or where

home buying tips: Have You Considered Buying a Home During the Winter? - Bourne MA - 11/13/09 07:10 AM
Why wouldn't you consider buying a home during the winter months? Did you know that the majority of homebuyers slow down, and some even stop searching for a home during the winter? This always gives me pause, and generally leaves me with too much time on my hands. I like being busy, I like selling real estate, and I want to help you find your next home, land, vacation property, or investment property. There still is a great deal of inventory in my area and as winter rapidly approaches, those properties will receive less traffic in the form of showings. Do

You deserve FULL representation when negotiating a real estate transaction. Your best option is to have a Buyer's Agent working on your behalf when you are purchasing real estate and a Seller's Agent when you are selling. Are you considering buying or selling real estate? Who does the agent represent in your real estate transaction?

home buying tips: Average or Older - Are They Included in Your Home Search? - 09/27/09 03:44 PM
Today, it seems that most Buyers are convinced that they must have newer, shinier, larger, granite, stainless and/or tile. A house must have all the modern conveniences, all the bells and whistles, and be the best in the neighborhood. Is it me, or has the modern home become more of a status symbol, rather than a place to live? A show piece rather than a place to raise a family? While you are sitting there eating your dinner in front of the television watching your Tivo'd episode from the day, night, or week before and your dining room is left in

home buying tips: Are You a Ready, Willing and Able Buyer? - 06/10/09 11:53 AM
