My house has high level of radon! Now what? If you are the Seller, chances are the Buyer is going to want YOU to take care of the problem. Not to panic, there are companies that can help. There are professional companies that specialize in the installation of radon remediation systems. They are not outrageously expensive and are much better than the alternative of refusing to address the problem. Single Family home sales have had a modest increase over the past three quarters of 2009 in Bourne, Massachusetts. First quarter started off with 238 listings, 24 sales and an inventory supply of 29.8 months. Second quarter saw an increase in inventory (+18) along with an increase in sales (+14) thus reducing the months supply to 20.2 which is a significant reduction from first quarter.Third quarter also had an increase in inventory (+18) plus an increase in sales (+10) putting the supply down to 17.1 months.

Buying a Bank Owned Home in Massachusetts - Buyer Beware! The clouds first started gathering back in March when Justice Keith C. Long invalidated the sale of two foreclosed properties in Springfield Massachusetts. He ruled them invalid as a result of the banks not having filed the appropriate paperwork in accordance with Massachusetts state foreclosure law. The original ruling was just upheld by a state Land Court judge. What will this do to pending and future sales of foreclosed properties? Jury Duty - We all at some point and time get called upon to perform our civic duty and report for jury duty. Once we fulfill our commitment, then we are not obligated to report for at least three years. Today I had jury duty. It was a beautiful September day and I reported (just barely) at the appropriate time, 8 am. I rushed into the court house and went up to the security check point. It was a grey kind of day for the kick off of the Jazz & Blues Festival at the Pinehills in Plymouth MA today. Perseverance can pay off, just keep moving forward!  I have been working with a young couple, who happen to be first time home-buyers.  Getting pre-qualified was a breeze, good credit scores, credit history, and more than the required 3% FHA deposit requirement.  It did not take long to find a property that matched their needs, interest and price range.  We made an offer, our offer was accepted and the process began.
