Massachusetts Saltwater Fishing License Required in 2011 for Saltwater Anglers. The saltwater fishing season is right around the corner, and here is something you should know if you plan on fishing recreationaly in the state of Massachusetts. There is a new federal law that took effect January 1, 2011 which requires that you obtain a license. "Massachusetts anglers who fish in federal waters, or target or catch anadromous species (saltwater fish that spawn in freshwater like shad, striped bass or smelt in any tidal or salt waters). Lights - Camera - ACTION!  If you haven't heard, you might want to pay close attention to what is going on in Plymouth MA.  Hollywood is coming to town.  Plymouth Rock Studios has entered into an agreement to purchase the Waverly Oaks Golf Course and build their $400+ million studio complex on this beautiful piece of real estate consisting of 240 acres.  It is proposed that it will contain a state of the art move production studio, 14 sound stages, a luxurious movie theatre, a 10 acre back lot, offices, a hotel, shops and a restaurant.
