middleboro ma: Getting Mooned Can Be Delightful! - 10/24/10 11:24 AM
Getting mooned can be delightful! I was lucky enough to capture this beautiful sight early Saturday morning while driving along the backroads of Middleboro and Lakeville. I wasn't expecting to see such a beautiful full moon early in the morning, so I just snapped a few quick shots when I came to an opening in the trees. It only takes a moment to pause and appreciate the beauty that abounds. Enjoy the day!

middleboro ma: Middleboro MA 02346 - Massasoit Community College Will Open Satellite Campus Fall 2010 - 05/08/10 01:22 PM
Middleboro will soon be opening a satellite school for Massasoit Community College at the former Lincoln D. Lynch School on Union Street. This is good news for the town, as the building will soon be generating revenue, rather than sitting vacant. The campus will be located right behind the Middleboro Town Hall pictured below, and within walking distance of downtown Middleboro's local shops & businesses. In addition to the liberal arts, business administration, criminal justice, and early childhood education courses, the college will offer a hospitality management program. Monies used to prepare the school for the future satellite campus are

middleboro ma: Ocean Spray - Celebrating More Than 75 Years in Business - 11/03/09 01:08 PM
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I thought it appropriate to post about Ocean Spray and the importance it has to the local community. Not only to the local growers that belong to the cooperative, but also to those employed at the corporate headquarters and processing plants in Lakeville and Middleboro Massachusetts. Ocean Spray has been a part of the local community for much longer than I can remember. In fact, they are getting very close to celebrating their 80th year in business. Congratulations Ocean Spray! Everyone in Middleboro, Lakeville, Plymouth, Rochester, Carver, Wareham, Halifax and the surrounding communities all

middleboro ma: Woodstoves and Fireplaces in Middleboro Massachusetts - 11/01/09 09:53 AM
Middleboro Massachusetts is a wonderful town large in area, but "small town" in nature. There are several businesses within Middleboro and many are privately owned and operated by local residents. For instance, Woodstoves and Fireplaces Unlimited is one of them. Here is a brief highlight of who they are and what they have to offer if you are in the market for a secondary heating source, a relaxing theraputic hot tub, or a brand new gas grill. Nathan and Karen Hindemith purchased and reinvented Woodstoves and Fireplaces Unlimited nearly twenty years ago. In that time they have seen the hearth industry

middleboro ma: Visit The Middleboro Herring Run - 05/10/09 07:53 AM
I stopped by the Middleboro herring run recently to check out how many fish were in the river and migrating up the ladders toward the Assawompset to spawn. I was pleasantly surprised. There appeared to be a decent number of herring in the river. There are two species of river herring that migrate from the ocean, make their way up to the Nemasket River and eventually spawn in the Assawompset Ponds in Lakeville. The alewife is the first to arrive here in late March throughout May, while the blueback migrates here in late April through June. Once the eggs are laid and fertilized,
