Wordless Wednesday (Almost) - Pictures while hiking - 04/27/11 01:25 PM
I go hiking all the time, up in the open space above my house. I decided to take a lesser traveled path last week, and came across several wild iris's (spelling??? hmm...). And check this one out! I was looking around as I was hiking and caught this rabbit just hanging out on the side of the path. I think this was the only time I found a rabbit cute... I have several that live in my yard, and eat everything I try to plant... So it is a love/hate relationship right now. :) Summer is coming, and I

Motivational Monday - Did ya get it??? :) - 04/25/11 06:53 PM
"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant..." -Robert McCloskey You know, I am not really sure who this Robert McCloskey is, but it was an interesting quote. Makes you think of the last disagreement you had with another agent, client, etc... And you knew you were right... But for some reason, they continued to think you were wrong... Then when the finally got what you were saying, it was what you were saying the whole time. So the thought I had, was

Speechless Sunday (Almost) - Disneyland - Sleeping Beauty's Castle at night - 04/24/11 01:13 AM
Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland... It was a direct replica of a Bavarian Castle (Neuschwanstein Castle). However it looked too... Well... Exact... So one day, the designers pivoted the top and when Walt Disney say it, he immediately loved it, and there it is! I took this at night, with a normal digital camera. I just used a lamp post to steady my hand. When you see this landmark in Disneyland, what does it make you think? Ironically, it reminds me of the Disney shows when I was a kid. Like Old Yeller or Swiss Family Robinson...... Happy Easter everyone! -Chris

Friday Foto - Stefan Swanepoel and I (Surviving Your Serengeti) - 04/15/11 11:18 AM
As most of you all know, I am out in Austin Texas this week at an awesome training. Heeeee Hawwwwww!!! And low and behold, who do I run into? Yup! Stefan Swanepoel. As most of you know, Stefan Swanepoel was the one who wrote "Surviving Your Serengeti"... I am a croc... What are you? He also writes the Swanepol 2011 Trends Report. Stefan was very nice, and hung out with us (about 5 of us) for about 45 minutes. Talking about anything and everything. What a down to earth guy! -Chris

Buyer wrote, “Items excluded – Chandelier” Then the seller took it down and left wires sticking out? - 04/14/11 07:20 AM
On one hand, this is a rather funny thing to have happen... But then again on the other hand it can lead to an argument with you and your buyer. The buyer wants a light up there, but the contract didn't even talk about it, at all... In the purchase contract most of them require you to state what is staying with the house and what is the seller's property to being taken by them when they move... So if you state that the chandelier is "excluded", then the seller did what the contract told them to do. The seller took

She said angrily to me, "Well, I've been in Real Estate for 35 years, and I am right... !!!" - 04/13/11 12:12 AM
How many of us have had that line said to us? Really? I mean really? She said this with such authority; I almost went into the kitchen and grabbed a silver plate to serve her tea and crumpets... And then ask if she needed anything else with a horrible accent only to scamper back into the butler's pantry to wait until I was beckoned forth again... She said it is if that one line, "35 years" normally shut up anyone that ever got in her way, or on her way to the top of whatever throne she was master over... Oh,

Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi... Which would you choose...? Seriously... (Fun Story) - 04/11/11 12:03 AM
Imagine you drink Diet Coke for a minute... You love it. You drink it. It's cool and refreshing. It tastes so good in a tall glass with ice. In fact, it has to be cold first, and then add ice so it is bubblier. It has no calories. You are fan on Facebook. You follow them on twitter... And did I say it tastes good? When you go to the store, you buy it. Right there on the shelf. Two-liters, cans, 6 packs, 12 oz bottles, 12 packs, 24 packs and cases... Yum... You have to have it. You walk past

(Not So) Silent Sunday - A gopher peeking out to say "hello" - 04/10/11 11:13 AM
While hiking this weekend, I was stopped listening and watching wildlife... I usually look up for birds, out for larger animals and listen for any noises... I rarely look below my feet... When looking down, I happened to see this cute little guy looking up at me... When I got closer, he moved to a different hole, and watched me... It was kinda funny. This picture is from Fremont Older Open Space. Saratoga CA. (Silicon Valley, CA) I hope everyone has a great Sunday! Caddyshack anyone?

Wordless Wednesday (Almost) - Hiking in Mountain Lion Territory - 04/06/11 12:08 AM
So I went hiking in my backyard again... This time I went to where a trailhead is, instead of just crossing the field and up the hill from the front yard. I came across this sign. I am not sure if I had seen it before, so I snapped a picture. I live in Saratoga, CA. I was hiking in the hills directly above Saratoga/Cupertino. It was an amazing day, and weather was awesome! I was hiking in a short sleeve shirt. As you can see from the shadows in the pictures, this was later in the day. An after

Motivational Monday - Yoda - 04/04/11 12:42 AM
"Do or do not... There is no try" Yoda- There is definatily wisdom in these small words from this small guy. When I think about the word try... TRY... Well, if we actually "tried" it then we will have actually did it... But if we never tried it, then we actually "didn't" do it. So I guess he is right, we can never statically say "try". Umm... uhhh... :) Hmmm... Did I just confuse myself now? Or did I confuse you? (lol) I hope your monday is awesome! Sooooo get out there and DO what you need to do today.

(Not so) Silent Sunday - Spring Showers, bring April Flowers! - 04/03/11 03:41 PM
I live next to miles and miles and miles of open space... Undisturbed forests, meadows, chaparrals and rolling hills... Right in Silicon Valley, CA. I went hiking reciently, and took some great pictures of what has been blooming, spreading and popping up after the recent rains! The area that I live in, is a Mixed-Coniferous Forest. This is a great picture of Mule's Ears. You don't normally see these in this area, or when you do see them you don't often get to see it in bloom around us! Indian Paintbrush is a flower that seems to grow everywhere... When
