The Importance of Arriving on Time - 05/26/09 09:46 AM
I Couldnt agree more with this blog! I think that being on time is the most important thing you can do in business besides being honest. I hope you all enjoy and let me know what you think about being on time... Via Melissa Zavala Realtor® North San Diego County Homes (Broadpoint Properties): I'm kind of a Type-A personality which (as defined by our friends at Wikipedia) means that I am impatient, excessively time-conscious, highly competitive, over-ambitious, business-like, and incapable of relaxation among other things. I'm so extremely time conscious that one my kids even complained several years back that he hates it when I (1 comments)
Wordless Wednesday for a good cause - 05/20/09 09:48 AM
I have never participated in "wordless Wednesdays" mostly because I can't seem to not have words come out of me. But today I thought I would post this photo of my Cousin Mikey (right) who is getting a new kidney from my dad (left) soon. They were supposed to do the operation today but the surgery had to be postponed since another emergency transplant came in late last night. Not sure when the surgery will be now, most likely next week.
There is a joke that my dad is a "Medical Freakin Miracle" hence the shirt. If you would like (0 comments)
Customer Service that took me by surprise. - 05/19/09 03:58 PM
Customer service is so very important to the Real Estate industry. Without it we ruin the chances for repeat customers and referrals. But when I think of one industry that is infamous for having HORRIBLE customer service it would be the Airline Industry!! This past weekend I had to fly into Kansas City for a wedding I was in. The weather was TERRIBLE in KC and we were diverted to Oklahoma City for about 2 hours. Although we were let off the plane for the 2 hours in Oklahoma we had to sit on the runway another hours in OK and (1 comments)
Intro to Vlogging - 05/19/09 02:03 PM
Blog Vs. Vlog According to Wikipedia: A blog (a contraction of the term weblog) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. And a Vlog (or video Blog): Video blogging, sometimes shortened to vlogging or vidblogging is a form of blogging for which the medium is video. Entries are made regularly and often combine embedded video or a video link with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Video logs (vlogs) also often take advantage of web (1 comments)
Twitter and a simple thank you...Kinda - 05/18/09 05:25 PM
Do you Tweet? If you are on twitter.com and have followers you may want to think about creating a "Thank you for the follow" video via YouTube. Its actually rather simple. You record a video of yourself thanking your follower for following you on twitter then tell them a bit about yourself and your company or the services you provide. Post this message to YouTube, then when you get a new follower send them a message with the link to your video. You can check out my video below for an example:

Oh so you are one of those people who really do not get what the big hoopla is about Twitter. Not so sure how it will benefit you and your business. Yeah I have heard about your type and I'm here to say I believe in Twitter, even if I am not really sure why! All joking aside I have spent many a long hour trying to figure out why I use twitter. I know I am part of the generation that lives off this stuff but besides being "fun" I want it to benefit my business too right? So I (22 comments)

The Pikes Peak Energy Star class "Marketing and Selling Energy Star Homes" with Gord Cook was a huge success. With over 60 Realtors and area sales professionals in attendance the atmosphere was a buzz with activity. Agents were asked to demonstrate different energy features in a home and learned what made Energy Star homes so much better then the average home. Gord did a spectacular job keeping the energy in the room upbeat and everyone that talked to me said they got a ton of the event (included 7 CE credits!!)
