new homes colorado springs: Sound Off- Pulte merges with Centex - 04/08/09 10:43 AM
What does it mean to have 2 of the nation's largest home builders merge? Can it be a good thing? Or is it bad? I have seen many mergers in the home building industry. In the 1990s Lennar bought up several smaller companies. Although this could be considered good business in a down economy it can also take quite a toll on both employees and customers. When philosophies collide: When two or more companies merge under one name, usually people hold false hope that their company's philosophies will stay in tacked. I was enjoying a sushi dinner last night with a couple of my girl friends when the topic of home buying came up. One of the ladies had mentioned that she was thinking about purchasing a new home but was leaning more on the side of renting for another year to "save up some money". "Why?" I asked. I think it is because so many people are not educated enough on not
