Each year in real estate, I fine tune just a little more here, a little more there.
Took a listing last week owned by a retired real estate broker from the 80s. He told me about a recent conversation with another agent, who repeated his value as a TOP PRODUCER, #1 agent in a large firm and in the top 5% in sales production in his association.
The seller told me he asked the agent, "How exactly does that help solve MY problem as a consumer?", but the agent only reiterated the 'credentials' in response.

When I was attending radio school in Hollywood, CA, we used to stop over at a great Hollywood bar and grill called Carlos n Charlie's. Sadly, it's no longer there. I had a listing a few years ago . . . sellers were not what I would call 'motivated' and after the first 2 rejected market-realistic offers, I opted not to seek renewal of the listing when it expired.
I was the third listing agent at that time.
There have been 3 more since.
And the property is still not sold.

Buyers are coming out of the woodwork as Summer approaches along the Beautiful Colorado River.
I've acquired half a dozen this past week . . . everyone wants to be on the River for sun and fun, STAT!
I'm actually . . . don't faint . . . contemplating adding an agent. It's someone I know well who will work hard, so I am probably going to be OK (pray for me anyway).

Nah, not me. I'm a lifer.
But I gathered a new client looking for Fort Mohave homes for sale this week, because of just that.
When I asked the prospect if they were or had been working with an agent, they said  . . .
"Well, we were . . . but he texted us that he quit real estate, told us another agent would be helping us but we never heard from that agent in over a month, so we needed to find someone else."

Yesterday we did a final walkthrough of a Fort Mohave home that the buyer had bought sight unseen up to that point.
He told me what to find for him, with help and input from a family member.

I was chattering with a REALTOR friend this AM. She was bummin' a bit about how buyers she's been working with keep making silly offers (1/3 to 1/2 of market value) and then blaming her when the homes sell to someone else.
I asked her, "If your buyers are aware that the list to sale price ratio is higher than they are offering by a good amount, why are they making lower offers and expecting them to be [reviewed at all, let alone] accepted?"

Summer is coming and coming fast! In a few short weeks max, the sun will blaze and all of the beautiful Desert flowers will bloom. That's when it really rocks to live here in Bullhead City, AZ.
We are a resort area and have visitors and vacationers all year round, but there are two particular 'on seasons' for our Colorado River towns: Snowbird Fall/Winter and River Rat Spring/Summer.
