flower mound real estate: Multiple Offers on Homes in North Texas! - 05/26/12 06:32 AM
The busy season is continuing to be very busy for home buying and home selling in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area.  I'm seeing many cases of home sellers receiving multiple offers, depending on price point and location.  Even though currently the demand seems higher than the supply, I haven't noticed a huge spike in home prices.  Here in the North Texas area, we seem to avoid the big spikes in either direction, for the most part.

That means there are still good buying opportunities out there, and you can get a lot for the money, especially compared to some other areas … (2 comments)

flower mound real estate: Keller Williams Realty's RED Day - Giving Back To Our Community! - 05/11/12 05:44 AM
Keller Williams Realty's RED Day 2012 was another huge success!  Among the projects undertaken here in the Flower Mound, Lewisville Texas area, volunteers (including me!) are shown below helping a family who's husband/father was in a motorcycle accident.  It is an important part of the Keller Williams culture to be involved with our community, and to give back to the community.

It's been a busy season so far for home buyers in North Texas.  So today it is back to providing a service to both home buyers and home sellers!  We seem to be having more buyers than sellers here … (0 comments)

flower mound real estate: How do I find out if I could sell my house in the current market? - 03/01/09 04:29 PM
I had someone ask me this question the other day. It really is a great question. One thing I've found true in the last couple of years is that the "current market" can really vary by community and even by neighborhood.

Many people assume the "current market" is only what they hear and see from the various news outlets. Well, there are some areas that sales have been very slow, and foreclosures high. But there are other areas that are still fairly high in demand, with prices holding steady or even some slight increases.

The real question is how … (0 comments)

flower mound real estate: Who's going to buy my home? - 06/16/08 01:32 PM
Are you thinking about selling your home, but, with the negative media and slowing economy, you're wondering who out there might be interested in buying it?
Well, there are signs that first time home buyers are getting tired of sitting on the sidelines!  According to a recent online poll taken by the National Apartment Association, "17 percent of renters plan to make the jump to home ownership in the next year; 41 percent of the 2,041 respondents planned to be home owners within two years. Only 31 percent planned to still be paying rent five years from now."
This means more potential … (0 comments)

flower mound real estate: Overcoming the misconceptions about the "credit crisis" - 05/05/08 06:18 PM
You've watched the news and read about it in the papers. You know, the "credit crisis" and how buyers need 20 percent down in order to buy a home? And even if you found a buyer with 20 percent down, lenders aren't making loans anyway. So, why bother, right? Wrong!
We're right smack in the middle of what just might be the biggest disservice ever perpetrated on potential home buyers.  It seems the press just can't get enough of all the gloom and doom in the housing industry.  The fact is that mortgage money is as available today as it was a year … (0 comments)

flower mound real estate: Dallas Fort Worth Market Update - 10/28/07 10:43 PM
I'm finding that things are picking up.  I'm currently working with some very motivated buyers in the Arlington, Texas area, and within the next week or so I will be adding new listings in Coppell, Texas (a great townhome that will be available for lease!), Flower Mound, Texas (a terrific home that will be priced to sell quickly!), and Eagle Mountain Lake (a fabulous custom home in a golf course community!).  Within the next month, an incredible buy in Mesquite, Texas should be added as well.
Buying activity is picking up, and it looks like sellers are ready to jump back into the … (1 comments)

flower mound real estate: Buy Low - Sell High - 10/02/07 08:49 PM
Everyone's heard that you should "buy low and sell high" when it comes to stocks and real estate.  But how do you know when prices are "low" or at the bottom until prices are already rising?  There is no easy answer to this question.
Here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we have seen a definite slowing in home sales, but we really haven't seen as large a dip in home prices as have people in other parts of the country.  And now CNNMoney.com is projecting the Dallas area will lead the nation in median sales price growth for single family homes over the next 2 years, … (0 comments)
