We bundled up and were complaining like crazy, but we are in SW Florida and we are not supposed to have a freeze.  Then we had days of the same.  I've been here for 17 years and have never seen weather like this.  Well, the frost has done some heavey damage.  All the leaves fell off my boganvelia and even palm fronds are falling off.  The grass has turned brown all over town.  We are looking crispy.
The real estate market is still hot and moving very quickly. Dec. numbers were another huge number. These deals just keep coming and so do the buyers. … (1 comments)

I'm a daughter, a mother and grandmother.  Wow, when you get to this point I have such gratitude to my mother who I lost to breast cancer when I was just 22 years old.  I am so grateful for the years I had my Mom in my life.  She was such a rock and such a class act.  She had a wonderful sense of humor.  She was a great best friend to all her friends; she had high expectations for me and my brother.  She adored us and we knew unconditional love.

Ok SW Florida the predators are out.  If you find yourself in trouble with your mortgage I have a warning for you today.  A friend of mine  in Cape Coralcalled me and said she had received an offer from her mortgage holder.  The offer had stated that she would forgive over $100,000 relief and they would reset her loan so she could stay.  She believed it was from her lender.  It was not!  I told her I'd like to see her paperwork they sent her.  They wanted her to pay for an appraisal, 3 points to this company and huge closing … (0 comments)

Building permits in Cape Coral and unincorporated Lee County were up. Lee County had 80 new permits and Cape Coral had 34 permits (more than double last month). This is significant.
 This seems to be the beginning of the turn.  The sense I get of the market is how people talk about what is happening and what they are doing about it.  The buyers are excited  and are still coming to buy.  This is still an unbelievable good time to buy with interest rates so low and so many homes available at these discount prices because of the foreclosures.  We love … (0 comments)

We are certainly looking very crispy and feeling the same.  I know rainy season is just around the corner but it is coming.  The fire burning in Lake Okeechobee has been a nasty way of fowling the air for miles around even as far as Cape Coral.  Last week fire broke out in the Naples area and this week in Cape Coral.  I actually thought how nice it would be to have a rainy day. We haven't had one for so many months.
