Congratulations Parkwood! You were voted best Kensington neighborhood and have been recognized for your "retro vibe" and charm. Though they neglected to acknowledge that part of the neighborhood actually sports a Bethesda address, here are several highlights from the article written in the most recent edition of Bethesda Magazine listed below: Close proximity to I-495, NIH, Strathmore, downtown Bethesda, Historic Kensington-as well as easy access to Rock Creek Park Close knit community "block parties, community yard sales and lemonade stands" Bordered by Beach Drive, Cedar Rd and Westbrook Lane Original homes built between 1948 and 1953 Consists of 783 homes (3 comments)

Location, location and location! Location with in the state, location with in your county and even the location with in your community. Value is what a buyer is willing to pay for a home; in a sense their opinion of what your home is worth. Various factors can be used to compare homes in the same neighborhood as one another, these include: Size of the home Major improvements o Kitchen and Bath renovations o HVAC upgrade o Roof Replacement o Window Replacement Size of the lot that the home is sited on Overall Condition of the home Number of Bedrooms (9 comments)
Winter Wonderland: Festival of Lights - 12/22/09 10:51 AM
One evening last week, Jeffrey and I decided to go out for "sweet cap" from the Baskin Robins in Kensington. With a cake cone and scoop of strawberry ice cream in hand, we drove around the Kensington area to admire the hard work of homeowners whom had decorated their property with Christmas lights, blow up Santa's and Snowmen, light-up reindeers and more. Our adventure took us outside of Parkwood through Chevy Chase View and over to Rock Creek Hills. As we were driving down Saul road, the bright light of the Washington LDS Temple caught both of our eyes. Immediately, I (1 comments)
