My best friend, Lynne Bridges, was surprised by her husband for her 6oth
birthday with a NASCAR lesson at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC
She was a little nervous, but did a great job and had a top speed of 137 MPH!

Feast of the Assumption in Little Italy - 08/17/09 08:52 AM

The Virgin Mary is paraded down the street in Little Italy to commemorate the Feast of the
Assumption in Little Italy in Cleveland, Ohio.  The day was hot and humid and the crowd
was so happy to see the statue arrive in the street carried by the men of the Holy Rosary
Catholic Church.

Well, not exactly a "mugshot", but a photo of my "mug"!!! My first billboard went up recently, and
I finally got down there to see it! What do you think? We are opening  a new Green office soon and
getting our name out in the area to the local public! We have billboards up all over town and it is

This entertainer is known for his bawdy folklore songs about the Lake Erie Islands, particularly

The sleepy Portage Lakes wakes up to the swimming geese at sunrise,this morning was particulary beautiful because of the reflection on Long Lake and the geese posing for this photo! It is always a vacationin Portage Lakes, Ohio. Only you can prevent forest fires! That is his motto and he has been telling us for 65 years
that it is our responsibility to prevent forest fires! Everyone should remember his words
when camping in the forest, douse your campfire when you are finished using it! Smokers
should never throw a butt out the window to prevent fires also. It just takes common
sense.

I apologize for the quality of this photo, but I was taking it on the run! I chased the
balloons for about 2 miles to capture this one! Canton, Ohio holds a Balloon Fest every
year and I just happen to be riding down Fulton Road as they were ascending from the

Big Bass Catch on Turkeyfoot Lake Today! - 08/01/09 04:20 PM

I was lucky enough to be sunning myself on Turkeyfoot Lake today
when I saw Petey catch this 18" bass! He was really excited and it was
measured so I know it  really isn't a "fish story"!! Portage Lakes
has many bass tournaments through the season and Petey is going
to be in one in 2 weeks! After he measured this beauty he threw it
back! I told him I was thinking it was a good meal! He said he will
catch it again in 2 weeks when he fishes in the Portage Lakes bass
