So I get this exciting call from a woman in my neighborhood.  Her children attend the same school as my children and she has been receiving some of my marketing materials.  She and her husband have already interviewed two agents, whom, she didn't mind sharing, they were not impressed with.  They decided to give me a call.  We set up an appointment and I get busy doing my research and preparation.  I was very excited because I had just sold my only listing in the neighborhood and was looking for another quality listing (several, really!)  Sold statistics showed the home should … (12 comments)

It's very important to me in my business that I tell people the truth.  That often occurs with potential sellers looking to list their property at a certain price and I feel I must give them the brutal truth..."Mr. Seller, I understand you could have sold your home for X in 2005, but it is now 2008 and worth x---"  A lot of folks can't handle the truth, unfortunately, so I must walk away from the listing and allow them to fail with another agent.

NEW LAKE NONA HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETION CORRECTION - 03/07/08 01:09 PM
It has been brought to my attention that I made an error on my post regarding the scheduled completion of the new Lake Nona Area High School off Narcoossee Rd.  I made an error in typing "2008-2009", it should be "2009-2010" (Must have been wishful thinking!)  Please accept my apologies for any confusion!
