Cave Creek Luminaria Run 2012's Event Was Held Saturday, December 1st   What a fun event the 10th Annual Cave Creek Luminaria Run was! It was my first time participating. I decided to walk the route with my girlfriend and take photos so I could include them in this post, therefore my stellar race time and 396th placing in the 5K race.  Finally! Yesterday I made it to Chef Sara's Raw Vegan Academy & Cafe in Cave Creek, Arizona.  Yes, that's right.  Not only a vegetarian restaurant in Cave Creek, but vegan and raw, to boot!  The cute little rustic house in which the restaurant is located is a little hard to find - a little off the beaten path (located east of the Dairy Queen and behind Big Bronco) - but SO WORTH the hunt!  When I got there, I joined another gal at the counter who had driven 15 miles to get there for her lunch after dropping her kids off … (0 comments)

This new site is extremely appropro, being located near Pinnacle Peak Park - a popular hiking and climbing destination, that is also celebrating its 10th anniversary.  The firestation also houses the Technical Rescue Team (TRT) for the Valley's firefighters who help rescue hikers and mountain climbers when they get in trouble in the Valley's mountain preserves.

It was a perfect day to remember September 11 at the Grayhawk Golf Club Talon Course in North Scottsdale.
Temperatures in the 90’s.  Blue skies with a few wispy clouds. The notable and stunning Talon Golf Course. Saguaro-studded desert landscape. A day out with my husband and good friends.  Not to mention:
5 topped balls hit 4 bottles water consumed 3 golf balls lost 2 conversations with my husband about his golf cart driving discussed 1 par 3 at Devil’s Drink – the island water hole on #17 - made (by me!) Just perfect!
