The book will transform you from a novice into a seasoned pro in regards to search engine marketing practices. The book is Search Engine Marketing for Dummies on steroids! I have referred so many people to this book and plan on giving it to friends and family for Christmas. I strongly suggest all ActiveRainers to pick this book up...it costs less than $20 and is a very simple and fast

marketing: craigslist: To Post or Not to Post...That is the Debate. - 10/12/07 10:04 AM
I have read many posts about whether or not it is a good idea to post your listings on craigslist...some people have called craigslist the "slums of real estate." Sure...you can find someone in the personals for a "quickie" or someone that is looking for a "generou$$$ man or woman", but when you post your listing you aren't posting in the category "personals" so you aren't associated with this "slum area". Is Chicago a great city? In my opinion it is the best city in the world...are there slums in the city...yes. Is Atlanta a great city? It is up and coming and

How do you get the most out of your business cards? Here's how! Take a featured listing (or two, or three...you get the idea) and turn it into a business card. This is a great way to really "wow" your client. Business cards are easy to carry around, and most business professionals have a card case or briefcase containing business cards that they carry with them at all times. Here's the concept, use "listing cards" as your business cards. Here's how it works: * Example provided by the RKiHomes Team * Example provided by the RKiHomes Team Front - Image of featured home, your

marketing: Marketing tip: e-Postcard - 10/04/07 08:12 AM
Here is a tip to gain exposure for your listing. We create "Just Listed e-Postcards" that we send out to agents. We have a database of Keller Williams agents in the Atlanta area grouped by their market center. We use a service called iContact to distribute the email rather than TopProducer or Outlook because iContact allows for the messages to be tracked. iContact can generate reports for you so that you can track your messages and become more in tune with how effetive or uneffective your marketing is. Rather than just sending emails with text and a "copy and paste" picture

marketing: 5 tips for getting your listing sold - 10/04/07 07:54 AM
We are currently in a buyers' market and many agents are complaining saying that it is tough to sell their listings. I disagree. I think this is the perfect market to be in and the perfect job is to be in real estate. Here are a few ways to get your listings sold. 1. Price right Price your listing not where the market is currently, but where it is going to be. Overpricing a listing is like getting in credit card debt...your situation never seems to improve. If you overprice a listing you will always be chasing the market, so price it where
