I was at a Keller Williams Realty conference recently where a very successful agent from Chicago that specializes in condos said he only does one "Power" open house for each listing when it first goes on the market.  He usually does them on Thursday evenings for 30 minutes.  He said there is less competition during the week and he does a short time period to have all of the the potential buyers in the condo at the same time (instills a sense of urgency if they see other people in the condo while they are there).

For a small suburb just east of Austin, Manor, Texas has some really great restaurants to choose from.  Manor may not seem to have much yet in the way of chain stores and retail shopping, but if you venture off Highway 290 that passes through Manor, you will find a number of places to eat that offer fantastic food.  Most of these are independently owned and the food is so much better than you will find at the chain restaurants in the Austin area.  Here are my 5 favorite places to eat in Manor:

In a conversation with my youngest sister yesterday, she told me I need to start Tweeting more to get new clients.  She is a social media assistant, so of course, she's a huge believer in Twitter (along with a jillion other sites most people have never even heard of).  I have a Twitter account, but I pretty much only Tweet my listings.  I believe in social media and have been on various sites over the past few years, but I am having a really hard time getting into Twitter.  It doesn't seem substantive to me and most of the information I … (33 comments)
