Did you know that here in Missouri when a buyer purchases a home before August 31, 2010, they may be eligible to receive a Real Estate Tax Credit? That is right! The MHDC will refund the prior year’s real estate tax amount to the new buyer. Although it is not as great as the Federal Tax Credit, it is still an incentive to purchase a home this year here in MO!

Here we are at the end of February already and The Home Buyer Tax Credits are set to expire on April 30. Wow...just over 60 days left. Now is the time to get that house on the real estate market because, here in St Joseph MO, buyers are out looking for that perfect home before the deadline arrives.
