Kauai, Hawaii Short Sales Statistics
The number of short sales that are closing continues to increase on Kauai.  In 2008. according to the MLS, there were no short sales.  In 2009 there were 22 and that number nearly quadrupled in 2010 to 82. For 2011, there have been 66 closed short sales through August 4th.  These short sales account for 15% of the Kauai sales so far this year.
Of the 66 Kauai short sales so far this year, 23 were at Kauai Beach Resort.  The sales prices ranged from $22,500 - $95,000.  There were also 10 units at Kauai Beach Resort that sold … (2 comments)
