How Big Is Your Footprint?? - Toledo, OH - 04/13/08 08:10 AM
There is to be a very interesting program on television tonight - The Human Footprint - on the National Geographic  channel. 
I am inclined to believe that this is going to be a very sobering show.  One that demonstrates what an arrogant society we have become.  Arrogant - and wasteful.  
If you would like to prepare yourself for this eye-opening special, then figure out for yourself just how wasteful you are and what impact you, and you alone, are having on our planet.  It will stun you.  It sure made me stop and think.

I was recently fortunate enough to purchase a very unique indoor flower arrangement.  Unique in that it is 14 tulip bulbs placed in a large clear cylindrical vase.  The bulbs rest on a ring with slots below each bulb for the roots to reach the water that is in the bottom of the vase.  This collection is promoted as year round tulips for your indoor enjoyment.  Thank you Costco!  I had never seen anything like this before.

The Toledo Mud Hens are getting ready for opening day!  Our beloved "Hens" will pack the ball park at Fifth Third Field.  It never fails on opening day - there won't be standing room left! 
You see, we here in Toledo, Ohio, are mighty proud of our Mud Hens.  We truly enjoy one of America's oldest and most attended sports.  And, if ya wanna know the truth, we really adore the mascots - Muddy and Muddonna.
