memorials: On Praying for Peace, Honoring Sacrifice and Winter Sunsets - 12/20/07 07:38 AM

A couple of days ago my husband and I went out to dinner at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Monroe, MI. It's the closest one to our house and a straight shot up I-75, so off we went! As usual, the food was tasty, hot and plentiful. And, as usual, we ate too much - so time to walk a little of it off.
And what better place to do that than the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial at Heck Park in Monroe.
Personally, I find it very difficult to go to these memorials. I lost several dear friends in that confrontation and it still … (6 comments)
