Saturday - April 4, 2009 North Carolina State University - Raleigh, NC The Native American Studies center at NCSU sponsored a powwow yesterday. And I have to say, they did a great job of putting it all together. (My only wish ... was that they had held it outside. Indoors just doesn't feel right) I would strongly suggest to the administration of NCSU ... Please get the advertising/marketing materials approved and out to the public at least a month in advance of the event. Being a newcomer to Alamance County, and to North Carolina in general, I thought I would make it my mission to learn as much as possible about the area I'm calling home nowadays. So this past Sunday morning I set out to do some exploring. And the treasures I found ... well, let's just say that they are a very pleasant surprise.
