Personally I am working. Actually I am now at the office basically resting and collecting rent after spending the biggest part of the day cutting hedge and holly bushes at one of my apartment complexes.
I asked my wife if she was go shopping but she said no I want the girls and I to help you with the bushes.
My daughters are 14 and 11 and they made $20 a piece. I believe they plan to shop in the morning.
As I was driving by the mall and Walmart this morning the parking lots were almost full so hopefully black Friday … (22 comments)

Dyersburg real estate foreclosures going fast! - 11/26/08 12:40 PM
A few days ago I wrote a post about a new bank foreclosure(THDA) that I had just listed. I listed that property on November 19th and we just negotiated a contract this morming. Boy was that quick!
Also, we listed a bank foreclosure at 512 Lewis Avenue here in Dyersburg on November 14 and we negotiated a sales contract on that one on November 20th. A picture of that house is just below.

Hud just listed this brick 3 bedroom, 2 bath house which is located in Palmer subdivision. This property is listed with a company out of Nashville and any HUD certified Realtor like myself can sell this property.

Do you know where to find your "tags" - 11/25/08 02:08 PM
Earlier today I wrote a post discussing the use of cloud tags, titles, keywords and fresh content.
I also looked at my blogs page and noticed my cloud tags had disappeared.These used to be listed down the right hand column down below the picture. Cloud tags are a way for us to group our posts according to what this posts are about.
Just now I discovered that my cloud tags are still there but there is now a drop down box down below the word "tags". Just look over in the right hand column here and notice the word "tags".

One of the things that I have been trying to do since I began blogging several years ago is impress Google. If we impress Google then your website or blog post gets ranked really high hence the public finds you.
Isn't that the name of the game today in real estate;get seen and contacted by the public?
I had a lady call the office this morning asking how to get into the profession of real estate? I went through the steps and then asked her why she called me. She stated that I keep popping up in her google search.

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about selling Hud foreclosures and other foreclosures here in the Dyersburg Tennessee area.
Larry Brewer called me last week about the foreclosures I am selling here. If you are located in middle Tennessee and are interested in foreclosures(especially around Franklin), Larry is your man. Here is a recent article he wrote about foreclosures.

Catchy title huh :) Actually, my friend Larry Brewer is quickly overtaking me on the Tennessee Activerainers list.
I met Larry less than a year ago when he attended our first annual Activerain training here in west Tennessee hosted by Carousel Realty. Brad Andersohn was flown in from California to conduct this training for us here in Dyersburg,Tennessee.

Apology for being too busy to "Rain"! - 11/19/08 03:27 PM
I am not sure what is going on but for the last week or so I have been so busy with clients. Many of the clients have been investors and most of the rest have been rental clients.
It appears that foreclosures are increasing at an alarming rate but investors are stepping up to buy them up. I did sell an apartment complex yesterday that is unrelated to this scenerio.
Many of the foreclosures are properties that were financed with the B-paper products and I am proud to say that no local bank participated in this financing debacle hence no local … (3 comments)

A few days ago, I wrote a post about selling foreclosures here in the Dyersburg,Tn area. In that article I mentioned that many of the Realtors are taking advantage of the foreclosure opportunities here.
However, lately I am getting lots of calls from investors who are also looking to purchase "great deals". When I walked into the office this morning, my agent Jackie Keeling told me he has an investor wanting to buy 10 brick 3-4 bedroom 2 bath houses. I also have a few investors who are also looking for great deals!

I am selling Dyersburg Tennessee Hud foreclosures! - 11/13/08 12:48 PM
In case you haven't noticed, Dyersburg has had its share of foreclosures. Here is a Hud foreclosure which I just negotiated a contract on and it is set to close in a few days. The original list price was in the upper 40's with the just negotiated contract price in the high 30's.
I am not sure but I believe I sell more HUD foreclosures in Dyersburg,Tn than any other agent. Not only do I sell HUD foreclosures but I also sell Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae and just plain bank foreclosures.

Wanted! Motivated sellers who want to move their properties! - 11/11/08 03:36 PM
When I go on a listing appointment I tell the sellers that if they want to sell their property they have to price it according to today's market.
Many are still thinking they can get much more for their house than even the tax appraisal. I tell them in today's market even the tax appraisal is too high to price their house by.
A home is only worth as much as similiar houses are selling for in the current market. For the owners listening to their professional Realtors, their houses are selling here in the Dyersburg,Tn area.

Just wanted to personally thank(in this blog and in person when I run into you) all of you out there who are veterans. Many of you served in Vietnam,the gulf,Irag,Afganistan,WW2,Korea and other places. 
My parents were both in the Air Force so I followed suite. My father got in on the tail end of the Korean conflict and was a navigator on a B-36. I need a rental because the house I just bought has terrible mold! - 11/07/08 01:01 PM
I just had a fellow come in my office inquiring about rentals that I have available.
He went on to say that he just got his wife out of the hospital as she was very sick because of mold they just found in their newly bought home. They have only been living there for 1 month. He went under the house and found a water leak that has been feeding mold for quite some time. The mold is covering almost the entire bottom of the house now. Even my termite man would have reported this mold as a potential problem.

I have been mopping around thinking about our national election and have decided that perhaps it should be the democrats to get us out of this financial mess since it was them that put us here!
Now for the good news my conservative friends! The state of Tennessee just elected enough Republicans to take control of the Tennessee House of Representatives and two years ago we took control of the Tennessee Senate.

Yesterday the Holy spirit touched me at Church when we were singing this song!
Tomorrow is going to be a historic day for our country; election day!
Let me write out about one stanza of this song! I am sure many of you Christians sing this often but I have not.

Boy am I glad this election is almost over. Saturday morning the muzzle loader season opened in Tennessee.
I went hunting behind my house for a couple of hours but did not see a thing. I then proceeded to check out another field behind my house and saw 2 deer in that field about 150 yards from me. I got down on my belly and crawled a few feet closer for a shot. My wife was watching me out the back door and thought I was playing GI Joe!
