West Tennessee Blizzard January 2010 - 01/29/10 12:15 PM
Well I guess it really isn't a blizzard but the snow is coming down pretty hard and forecasters say we should get 6-8 inches today. The temperature outside is about 22 degrees and for that I am thank-ful. I was watching the weather this morning and Memphis(80 miles south) was getting freezing rain with temperature at 32 degrees. I will take the snow any day over that. I took this picture with my curve blackberry out the front door of my office.

Just purchased a domain name to point to another site! - 01/22/10 10:41 AM
Several years ago I purchased the domain name www.tennesseelakefrontproperties.com and use it to market a neighborhood with 5 lakes.
Yesterday, I purchased www.dyersburglakefrontproperties.info and I set it up to point to the URL above.
My question is do I submit it to the search engines with it pointing to the other site and will this hurt my other site? I have the first site high up on search engines(but no PR) figure that out.
I just want to do this right the first time.  One reason I purchased it is if someone jumps on google and types in dyersburg lakefront properties … (15 comments)

Over the last few weeks, I have done several posts about the Pelican Beach Resort Destin. I own a condo at the resort and it is on the rental program. I am advertising my one bedroom two bath unit #1004(sleeps 6) here and in other posts so you will consider renting my unit.

Even the Experts are Buying Homes - 01/15/10 12:30 PM
 
I don't consider myself an expert but I too am putting my money where my mouth is. My wife and I just purchased a condo in a resort community in Florida. I have been in the real estate business since 1992 and have not seen such a bad real estate market as we have been going through.
I do see light at the end of the tunnel however and see the economy turning here in my area. I agree with the Center for Economic Research analysts in that we will continue to see the economy recover but definitely not overheat!

Dyersburg Real Estate market Conditions - 01/14/10 03:19 PM
Earlier today I wrote a blogpost on one of my outside blogs discussing the current market conditions for the Dyersburg real estate market.
If you will click on the link up above you will see that Dyersburg has been like many other areas of the country with lower sales but I see a glimmer of hope based on the numbers for December 09 verses December 08.
All of my agents have been really busy during this early part of January and I can't wait to pull the numbers for January 2010 vs January 2009.

I am thankful we dodged the snow bullet! - 01/07/10 09:55 AM
All day long yesterday the trucks were de-icing the roads getting ready for the monster storm.
Guess what it didn't happen. I am thank-ful that it did not. My two daughters were counting on a day off from school but maybe they can learn even more in school.
We got maybe 1/4 inch of snow and the roads are in pretty good shape. How about you? Did you get the storm they were predicting to hit most of the southern United States?
I am in northwest Tennessee.

Florida being invaded by snowbirds again! - 01/02/10 01:18 PM
Up until I bought my Pelican Beach condo in Destin back in October, I had no idea what snowbirds were!  Every year, retired singles and couples leave the harsh winter in Canada or northern U.S. and go to Florida and more specifically to Destin's Pelican Beach Resort.
Snow birds are big business to Destin and to other Florida cities as they come and rent condos and visit the restaurants and shops. The Pelican Beach Resort even has scheduled activities for the snow birds.
