I have a good friend named Guy Hansford who is one heck of an appliance repair "guy".  Yesterday, Guy told me he appreciated all the referrals I have been giving him. I told him I only told one person to call him in the last month. He said he wasn't talking about that referral but all the others that found my post about him online.
A few months ago Bob Stewart challenged us to give back to the community by writing posts about businesses that we enjoy doing business with. That is when I did the post and several others(other companies).

Pointing domain names - 09/24/10 01:44 PM
I just dropped my 2 homes.com sites and making plans for another site. My question is about pointing 2 differnet domain names to new site.
I own dyersburgrealestate.info and also mikefrazier4homes.com and thought I would use the later for my domain name and point the other to it. The later one is currently ranked pretty high and the other is not.
Right now I am working on setting up a wordpress site hosted somewhere else. Your thoughts?

My sister suffers from P.O.T.S., asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome and I don't know what else. She was a nurse at Vanderbilt in Nashville when she was first diagnosed.
My sister at least had taken out a disability policy before she got sick.
She moved back to my home town about 9 years ago when the condo she was living in had mold issues.she Sold that and I found her a house to buy in Dyersburg.

Can Any Domain Name Reseller Renew Domains? - 09/20/10 12:51 PM
I own several domain names that I have bought from Godaddy.com, Register.com and Yahoo Small Business.com.
When any of these domain names that I own are about to expire, can I renew them somewhere else? I purchased a couple of domain names from Yahoo small business at a real bargain. However, after the first year the price is much higher.
None of these companies that I purchased from are hosting my sites. I appreciate your opinions on who to purchase from and who to renew with.

Time to Update the Scripture on My Sign Outside - 09/16/10 04:16 PM
When I built my new office 4 years ago I decided to share scripture with the public on one side of my tall sign out in front of the building.
On the other side of the sign I advertise apartments available and their prices and sometimes advertise a great deal on a piece of property for sale.
I try to limit the number of words in the scripture since I have to use a long pole with suction cup to change out the letters and numbers.

Early on in my Activerain career(started in 2007) I saw the importance of doing localism posts. I had already been doing something similiar in one of my outside blogs(since 2004) but not to the degree or expertise I am now doing.
One of my goals has always been getting to the top of the search engines when someone types in my town name then local information. In my case Dyersburg local information. Dyersburg Christian School & Dyersburg Home School Kids Unite on Soccer Field - 09/15/10 12:07 PM
One of my daughters attends the Dyersburg Christian School(Christ Classical Academy) and my other daughter home schools.
Christ Classical allows home school kids to participate in sports programs at the school. Here is a video I shot yesterday of a Christ Classical Academy soccer match with the middle school at Haywood County.

Moving my website from Homes.com - 09/13/10 01:41 PM
Has anyone had experience moving a website from homes.com to another hosting company?
I have had an IDX problem for the last 2 weeks and no one there has been able to resolve it. I am unable to talk to a real person and I am just ready to go.
I am pretty sure that I own the domain name and they host my site. Can someone else start hosting the website without major problems? 
I have been with homes.com for several years and really hate to move but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Air show this past weekend! - 09/13/10 12:24 PM
Yesterday I went to an air show at the previous B-17 training base at Halls,Tn. The high light of the show was of course the B-17(named Yankee lady).
I took the picture of the plane with by blackberry but you can see a better picture and read more about the air show by clicking on this newspaper link. As soon as Activerain allows me too, I will upload this picture.
