He is currently in intensive care with a ventilator hooked up and feeding tube also installed. He has been battling congestive heart failure and lots of fluid in his lungs.</p> <p>Last week he told the doctor to do everything he could to save his life but has been in pretty bad shape ever since. Billy is conscious and has asked to get that ventilator out of him. Billy wants to live but not like this.</p> <p>Please pray today that first the Lords will be done and second that Billy would do well coming off the ventilator and continue to improve.</p> <p>I also ask you to pray for my wife Gail and her sisters and her step mother as they are enduring all this. Please pray that God's Spirit fill them all with peace. Also, many times when we submit an offer on a foreclosure we also include a prequalification letter.</p> <p>Yesterday I called an agent to set up an appointment to show my doctor their house on the water. The owner told their listing agent to get a preapproval letter from a lender for my buyer client. I was offended that they would ask for that before we looked and made an offer.</p> <p>Needless to say the doctor was also offended and said we could leave that house out of those we view. What do you think? We have been working on purchasing a car for our daughter and in so doing we have solicited several bids from different dealers. My wife did go back to a couple mentioning the bids she had received and if they would like to match or beat it.</p> <p>We told them all we were going to trade on Saturday and that is what we did. After we made an agreement(gentleman's agreement) my wife emailed the other dealers to thank them for bidding and also told them she would keep them in mind for the next car. However, my wife called me today and said one of the dealers told her to reconsider their deal and she again told them she had already made a deal.</p> <p>Today the dealer we traded with called us and said the car they thought they were getting for us was suddenly not available due to that dealer refusing to release it to our dealer.( I bet that was a dealer that bid and was now mad). No I just run a little hot Doc.&nbsp;</p> <p>The first doctor who told me back when I was 40 gave me some free samples of drugs. It took care of the problem. Then one day, the samples ran out and I went to fulfill the script. $125. for a month's supply. So I asked the doctor then, how much longer will I have to take these to which he replied... "The rest of your life!" To which I asked, "Isn't there any other way to go about this?" (I had a grandfather who died of heart trouble at the age of 57 and one relative always recalls that every time they saw him, he had a Coke in his hands.) So the next step was asking my friendly Dr. of nutrition at our local SaveMart which has a homeopathic section. His name is Dan Dureya but everyone just calls him Dr. Dan. He's a middle aged, single Christian man who proclaims to have never been sick a day in his life and is a licensed Doctor of Nutrition. He gave me ideas of natural things over the years and they had limited results but mostly I felt great and kind of dropped the products over the years.&nbsp;</p> <p>The last time I went to the dentist, again they tell me I'm borderline... so I went back to Dr. Dan and told him I think I should do something about this. This last time he said, "Well if it's time to get serious then try this and handed me a product called Cardio VH by Emperical Labs. It's not sold over the shelves but should be easy to locate if you search for it. A doctor of nutrition could get it for you and I've found it online as well. The main active ingredient is something called rauwolfia Extract and is a very powerful natural diuretic. Dr. Dan advised me to only take one a day instead of the label's direction and test my BP. I found that I did need the entire dosage recommended on the bottle of once 3 times a day but since I've started it and along with maintaining exercise my pressure is absolutely perfect on a consistent basis. The best part is that there are NO side effects.&nbsp;</p> <p>I try not to ever put medicines in my body as I've found most of them are actually harmful to our natural flora which leads to many other problems and lowers our immune system levels. My friend who is the head surgeon of emergency in our biggest local hospital tells me that the biggest problem in our healthcare system is needless medications and especially opiates and over the counter pain killers. Oh they kill the pain pretty much but they also kill a lot of good things in our system as well. About 12 years ago my mother in law died from cancer. My father in law re-married soon after and we have always been supportive of both of them.</p> <p>Because my wife was so close to her "father" this new wife was bitterly jealous and told him way back years ago that this is not your daughter and now that her mother is dead and your previous wife is dead it is time to move on and "disown" this "previous daughter". He refused to do this as he knew that was wrong.</p> <p>To make a long story short my father in law had a heart attack and then open heart surgery a couple of years ago and his personality began to change. Now he avoids my wife like the plague and has nothing to do with his grandchildren(my two daughters). He works for me part-time and the human side of me wants to give him a retirement party and send him on his way. My wife says, "no I love him and do not want to see him mistreated". I am having a hard time not retaliating against him for the many hours of crying and pain he has caused my wife and two kids.</p> <p>Joyce Meyer was on this morning talking directly to me. This is a home for boys and girls who have been displaced from their families for one reason or another. Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday when our hearts were heavy after being married over 10 years and still no kids. We adopted 2 baby girls at birth and they are now 19 and 15. Where has the time gone?</p> <p>Gail and I met when I came home on leave from the Air Force. After my 4 year stint I ran into Gail again and this time fell in love. Both of us went to college and Gail graduated before I did and she went on to graduate school. We got married my last semester in college(made a 4.0 that last semester).</p> <p>I love Gail with all my heart. She has been the best thing to happen to me right after becoming a born again Christian. We are both very involved in church and keep our daughters involved as well. We did hire a great family minister and a great pulpit minister about 15 months ago. They are really making an effort to revive the church.</p> <p><br>Maybe just maybe this past sunday morning was a turning point. Ricky the preacher held up 5 $100 bills and asked who in the congregation would like to have them. A few hands went up and then he mentioned the strings that were attached. You have to first pray about whom the Lord would send you who needed help. Next, you had to be willing to get involved in their lives. Next you have to talk to them about Jesus and minister to them spiritually. Lastly, at the end of December you have to tell the congregation about what the Lord did with you and that $100.</p> <p>Ricky then without much thought casually mentioned that if there were any extra $100 bills in pockets in the audience that he would be happy to get those handed out for this work as well. People started coming to the front either to give $100 or to agree to let the Lord lead them to needy people. I took a group picture of 28 people who took the challenge to help distribute to the needy.</p> <p>So, from that initial $500 it suddenly grew to $2800. It kind of reminds you of Jesus feeding the 5000 with a few fish and bread loaves. Jesus touched that food and made it multiply. Yesterday, I had a long talk with one of my renters(black lady who is a therapist here in Dyersburg). She opened up the conversation with me by saying "Obama is really bad for our country and he is the antichrist and the mark of the beast is coming in March of 2013".</p> <p>After our little talk I asked her if she was voting for Obama but she told me <strong>she cannot since she is a Christian</strong>. She then went out to her car and got me three pages titled America's Most Biblically-Hostile U.S. President?</p> <p>Here is how this article startes out:</p> <p>When one observes President Obama's unwillingness to accomodate America's four-century long religious conscience protection through his attempts to require Catholics to go against their own doctrines and beliefs, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Catholic. But that characterization would not be correct.</p> <p>Although he has recently singled out Catholics, he has equally targeted traditional Protestant beliefs over the past 4 years. So since he has attacked Catholics and Protestants, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Christian. but that too would be inaccurate. He has been equally disrespectful in his appalling treatment of religious Jews in general and Israel in particular.</p> <p>So perhaps the most accurate description of his antipaty toward Catholics, Protestants, religious Jews, and the Jewish nation would be to characterize him as anti-Biblical. The church where I attend(<a href="http://www.westdyersburg.com/" title="church of christ">West Dyersburg Church of Christ</a>) has an annual event on Halloween(today Oct. 31) called trick or trunk.</p> <p>Many members of the church line their decorated cars up around the parking lot and have their trunks open. They sit near the trunk where they have goodies stashed and the kids(church members and visitors) line up and walk around the parking lot trick or treating.</p> <p>After about 30 minutes of this we close the trunks and head inside the family life center to games and chili and chili dogs. this is a great community outreach and a safe way for the kids to celebrate Halloween.</p> <p>West Dyersburg Church of Christ is located on the corner of Upper finley Road and Highway 51 Bypass(820 Highway 51 bypass North).
