I want to buy a Dyersburg,Tennessee foreclosure. That seems to be the most common phone call coming into my Dyersburg real estate office these days. Most of them are looking for a foreclosure because they have heard on tv that buying a foreclosure is a great way to get into a house cheaply. What the tv people do not tell you is that a majority of those foreclosures have problems and often times "hidden problems" that will only surface after you buy. When buying a Hud foreclosure there is a inspection report available before you write the offer. Hud hires (3 comments)
It would appear that almost all of my clients are looking for Dyersburg foreclosures. I am selling many foreclosures to investors but the average buyer has no clue what they could get into. Even Realtors get in trouble buying foreclosures. One of my agents bought a Hud foreclosure a couple of years ago and was not allowed to turn on the utilities but rely on the property inspection report furnished by HUD. My agent not only ended up with a house with no septic tank but also had a cracked combustion chamber. There are so many potential problems (1 comments)

This morning I started a new blog site for information about foreclosures in the Dyersburg area. There are multiple locations to find Dyersburg foreclosures and some of those charge for their information. This new site will have information about Fannie Mae foreclosures, Ginnie Mae foreclosures,Freddie Mac foreclosures, FHA(Hud) foreclosures, VA foreclosures, Farmers Home and Rural Development foreclosures and of course conventional bank foreclosures. In my opinion, we are about half way on the number of foreclosures we are going to see in the Dyersburg area but I do see a little light at the end of the tunnel which is that (0 comments)

Today I went to show a Fannie Mae foreclosure but the listing agent told me he has a contract as of last night. I then asked him about another Fannie Mae foreclosure and he told me that one also has a contract above the list price. My client was wanting to make an offer on the house this morning and before we found out the deal was done they asked me how much to offer. I told them that they need to offer about $5000 over the list price.But, we were too little too late. We are still seeing many Dyersburg (2 comments)
