I love Fall in Virginia: the crisp air, the leaves changing colors, apple picking and all of those Festivals. I received a call this afternoon from a gentleman who read a blog I wrote last year on the Appomattox Railroad Festival. He's planning to come to this year's events and asked about the local accomodations. The 36th Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival will be held on Main Street, downtown Appomattox. This has become one of the largest festivals in Virginia drawing over 30,000 people in 2006 and shouldn't be missed.
