real estate: LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA - AN ABSOLUTE STEAL According to Barbara Corcoran on TODAY!! - 02/19/09 09:50 PM
HOW ABOUT THIS FOR POSITIVE REAL ESTATE NEWS: Did you happen to see today's episode of TODAY? Barbara Corcoran talked about several areas of the country where you can find bargains in housing. First up was Lynchburg, Virginia where a Brick 3 bedroom home with 2 fireplaces could be had for $192,000. . How's this for an endorsement: "Lynchburg is at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, has a great economy, is one of the few towns where housing prices have remained totally stable, because they're cheap and everyone wants them." .msnbcLinks {font-size:11px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #999; margin-top: 5px;

real estate: She's Active in the Rain: Please Stop By and Welcome Heidi Krone! - 06/23/08 05:36 PM
Who would have thunk it: I've known Heidi Krone since my oldest daughter was in the ninth grade and played the flute in her band class at LCA and I was a stay at home mom. Heidi has been an agent for several years and recently joined us at RE/MAX 1st Olympic in Lynchburg. She's a lot of fun and someone you'll like to know. Heidi just posted her first blog, so please go on over to welcome and encourage her. And ask her about those leather pants. (I'm looking for the photo's Heidi!) Posted by: Debbie

real estate: Lynchburg Virginia Housing Market - January 2008 - 01/24/08 03:09 PM
There was a great article in the Lynchburg News & Advance Central Virginia Business section last week titled Weathering The Storm. The Lynchburg real estate market is small in comparison to many throughout Virginia with under 1600 single family homes currently listed. We've been fortunate that our local market has been insulated against the highs and lows others have experienced throughout the country. Lynchburg year to date sales through November 2007 were down almost 8% compared to the same period in 2006. However, in other local markets: Roanoke Valley sales were down by 11% through November Charlottesville sales were down by 25% through September Compared to
