New postage price, new marketing opportunity! - 03/31/09 04:09 PM
Spring is near, and it's that time of year again - postage increase! The cost for postage will increase on May 12th to 44 cents. This is a terrific opportunity for you to maintain contact with your current and past clients, farming demographic or sphere of influence. We recommend sending out a simple letter with 20 2-cent stamps included. A mailing like this one is an excellent way to express your gratitude for their business, and you may even find that the gesture may come back your way! If you need help with your mailing, please don't hesitate to contact

What goes up, must come down - here is some inspiration for you. - 03/31/09 03:19 PM
What goes up, must come down. The good news is that what is down, will always go up. This is kind of like "is the glass half full or half empty". How do you choose to see it?It is rough out there for everyone, but what I refuse to do is jump on the pity party bus. We all knew this would happen (maybe not this severe). We all knew we should plan for this day when things are not as hot as they were 3 years ago. Perhaps if nothing else, we learn from this experience and when this market is

FrontDoor.com - A New Site by HGTV - 03/18/09 03:31 PM
Ok, so I am an avid HGTV watcher. I watch it every weekend, and have for the past 3 years or so. I watched before I bought my first home, during the purchase of my first home, and still watch now, two years into owning my home. I only tell you that so you get an idea of the range of demographics they have watching the channel. All that said, I have noticed they are heavily promoting their new website, www.FrontDoor.com. They are still in beta (in the web world, that means testing). The site is live, but only brokers with over

In times like these, free is good! - 03/13/09 04:22 PM
I’m sure you’ve seen the advertisements from Lowe’s in most of the trade magazines. It is exclusively for REALTORS® as part of the NAR’s REALTOR® Benefits Program. In short, you sign-up for the service, upload your contact information, company logo, and your photo. You’re then given an easy to use administrative panel where you can enter the mailing address of your contacts (think SOI, or your clients after they’ve purchased a home). There is also an import so you can import mass amounts of contacts rather than type them all up. You are able to target the mail piece somewhat to

Another Mass Update Site for Social Networking- Utterli.com - 03/03/09 05:50 PM
So, I know I've touched on this topic before (I have recommended one other site like this - Ping.com) but I thought this one was worth mentioning as well. I came across Utterli.com, which offers the same basic service as Ping.com, except it is more focused on sites like Twitter, and Flickr. Unlike Facebook and MySpace, these sites are more oriented towards brief posts and photos. So, here is the skinny on Utterli. This is a FREE service that automatically posts to several social networking sites, a few of which I mentioned above. How it works: 1. Sign up for an
