What is the first thing you do when you want to find out more about somebody - professionally or otherwise? You Google them. As a virtual assistant for Real Estate agents, we know how many times agents Google themselves. Ideally they want their website to show up at the top at the stroke of "search." Sometimes, however, that doesn't happen, or what does show up isn't ideal "top of the page" content. Real Estate agents understand the importance of their prominence on Google. I recently discovered that when I do a Google search on certain phrases that have a geographic location, I get a return from Google that has the Google Maps results at the very top. Why does this matter? It is free Google placement at the very top of the page. For example, do a quick search for “Real Estate Agent in YourTown, YourState”. You will notice that most of the returns that come up are agents/companies that have enhanced their listing though Google Maps.
