It's A Fact: Nearly 1 out of 10 able bodied adults among us is unemployed. The administration is telling us to expect a near 10% unemployment into the extended future (California over 12.5%). To date, over $787B has been spent as "stimulus" intended to create or "save" jobs, and Washington is asking for more.
Much of the stimulus is directed to public works that at best create only temporary jobs or more bureaucracy that produces no income, goods nor marketable services. Many of these "created" jobs will require more tax revenues to sustain. This is where taxes are eaten up.

RealtyTrac the leading online marketplace for foreclosure properties, released its first U.S. Foreclosure Sales Report, which shows that foreclosure homes accounted for 31% of all residential sales in the first quarter of 2010, and that the average sales price of properties that sold while in some stage of foreclosure was nearly 27% below the average sales price of properties not in the foreclosure process.

Builder Confidence Decline - 07/24/10 01:45 PM

Recently I read that builder confidence in the market for newly built, single-family homes declined for a second consecutive month in July to its lowest level since April of 2009. The Housing Market Index (HMI) fell two points from a downwardly revised number in the previous month to 14 for July.
This month's lower HMI reflects a number of underlying market conditions that builders are seeing, including hesitant home buyers, tight consumer credit, and continuing competition from foreclosed and distressed properties that are priced below the cost of construction. Super easy Fiesta Dip Recipe - Perfect for the 4th of July. Even I can make it!! - 07/01/10 09:23 PM
For all you non-cooks or last minute cooks.  Here's a super easy recipe that you can make for that Fourth of July Party.
It's truly a no-brainer. Enjoy!! 
It takes 4 main ingredients:
Creamy Fiesta Dip
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 cup Sour Cream
1 cup chunky Salsa
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.   Add chopped tomatos, black olives, jalapenos or shredded pepper jack cheese or Mexican blend shredded cheese on top for garnish. Chill in fridge.
Serve with tortilla chips (preferably red/blue & original), crackers and or veggie sticks for dipping.
