She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, tail, torso and a line tugging in her mouth.A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way … (6 comments)

"Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail." ~ Og Mandino

beach: Caruso's Halloween Week ~ Protect Your Pets! - 10/25/11 02:03 PM

Halloween can be a traumatic and even dangerous time for your pets. Here are some common-sense tips to help protect & comfort your pets during Halloween.
Don't leave your pets out in the yard on Halloween: there are plenty of stories of vicious pranksters who have teased, injured, stolen, even killed pets on this night. beach: Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year! - 06/20/11 09:07 PM

Tomorrow is the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and takes place when the Earth's axial tilt is most inclined towards the sun. In the Northern Hemisphere, summer solstice begins on June 21, 2011 at 1:16 P.M. EDT.
