scary: Caruso's Halloween Week ~ The History Behind Halloween! - 10/27/11 07:54 AM

These early events began as both a celebration of the harvest and an honoring of dead ancestors.
Halloween spread throughout Europe in the seventh century. It began with "All Hallows Eve", the "Night of the Dead". … (3 comments)

scary: Last Minute Costume Ideas from Caruso! - 10/30/10 06:47 AM

Most of us have been in the position where Halloween rolls around and we haven't given any thought to the costume.  Then a friend or that special someone invites you to party and you don't have anything to wear.  Here are some quick and easy ideas that will help solve that problem.
•Draw the letter P around your eyes. What are you? "Black-Eyed-Peas". Be careful to use safe ink!!!!
•Secure one couch cushion to the front of you and one to the back. What are you? The lost TV remote.
•Attach sugar-cubes (or candy) all over yourself.  You can … (3 comments)

scary: Disneyland's Graveyard Workers set to Haunt Visitors... - 10/28/08 11:50 AM
While Knott's Berry farm is credited for the official first transformation from ordinary theme park to Halloween-themed Park, many other amusement parks have also undergone spooky transformations nationwide during the month of October.
Disneyland however, has been slow to make the transformation.  While the park has not failed to acknowledge Halloween, the entire park does not take on a completely different look in order to do so.  Some nods to the holiday include the Haunted Mansion ride, which features characters from "The Nightmare Before Christmas."  In addition, children are invited to trick-or-treat at Disneyland on October 31st.
This year, to become … (1 comments)

scary: Pumpkin Perfectionists...Pay Attention - 10/28/08 11:45 AM
With Halloween less than a week away, it's time to carve your pumpkins if you haven't yet done so! It's fun, it's festive, and it is a great way to cheer up if you're feeling blue from following the news lately.
This year, why not try something a little different? Susan Appleget Hurst of Better Homes and Gardens provided some great tips in an article written earlier this week:

*Use a cookie cutter to create unique shapes on your pumpkin. Simply tap the … (0 comments)

scary: Frightening Halloween...for Retailers! - 10/27/08 06:35 AM
Halloween is a bigger economic boost than most would think.  There are costumes, party items, food & drinks, candy, pumpkins, make-up and more.  All these items create a positive impact on local and state economies.
