For many years I have embraced competition and understood it to be part and parcel of the wonderful free market system. Early on in the Web 2.0 era many of my peers looked with disdain at the likes of national portals like Zillow or a Trulia. Once I laid eyes on the tools and the amount of information consumers could obtain from the Trulia real estate search web site, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and take advantage of what they were offering.

The SAS Championship Begins This Week in Cary!

Offering a purse in excess of $2 Million, the SAS Championship is a wonderful annual Cary event. Held at the beautiful Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC, this is three days of outstanding golf every lover of the game must see. An Insider's Perspective on Prepping Your Cary Home

Recently, one of our Cary Real Estate staff members, Jennifer Grinter, decided to prepare her home to list it on the Cary real estate market. When Terrible Events Occur in Cary, NC

When rare events of human loss and violence occur in our tight-knit community of Cary, NC, our neighbors really know how to show their true colors. The Cary community spirit unites our citizens together to support one another in marvelous ways with randome acts of kindness and support in the rare times like these. While our city is one of the safest cities in the state of North Carolina, we are not immune to tragic events.

Tragedy Comes Home to Cary

Last week a local Cary resident was murdered near one of our more popular Cary neighborhoods while she was out for a morning jog. The Police Chief of Cary stated shortly after the investigation began that this event was an "isolated incident" and not some random act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family members who are dealing with this tragedy

Outpouring of Support

My purpose for writing this post is not to focus on this horrible act but to shine the spotlight on the incredible outpouring of love, compassion and support this community has the capacity to convey. While we all wish we lived in a bubble shielded from the realities of violence and human tragedy, we can take some semblance of solace knowing when bad things happen, the residents of Cary are at the ready to step in to provide a sensitive shoulder of support.

Public Memorial Service

As I stated eariler, our hearts and prayers go out to the Rentz/Cooper family. The family held a public memorial service on Saturday July 19th at Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park in Cary.

Please continue hold this dear family in your thoughts and prayers.

Yes - I have tasted of the blogging kool-aid and it is GOOD!

Questions for Cary Area Home Buyers & Sellers

Did you read today's Raleigh, NC News & Observer article by writer Paul Gilster in the Local Business section about Google Maps? I did and the reporter makes some interesting observations about privacy issues and the latest Street View mapping technology made available by Google. The reporter eludes to his "Catch 22" with his routine use of Google Street View (we have the Street View map technology in Cary, NC) and his personal views about privacy.

Blurring Faces & License Plates

Google is currently testing a process to "blur" the faces of individuals and automobile license plates of those in the "path" of the Google van when it cruises the streets of Manhattan. This is all in an effort to protect individuals and their right to privacy. To me, no matter where you stand on the privacy issues, it's amazing technology!

Our team of Cary real estate agents has been blogging a while at our Cary Area Blog and a having great time at it! Many here have previously posted about all the great "SEO" benefits to blogging here, so I decided to give it try and see first-hand what it will do for LG Real Estate.

My First Post Minus Pretty Pictures!!!

I had wanted to upload a nice picture of someone "spying" but I think I broke the image uploader thingy!!! Who is "Proxy" and why does he have an "error"? It's gotta be a "HE"! Anyway, at least I tried. Maybe I can go back later and try to figure out if Al Gore has "repaired" the Internet so I can upload a cool picture. Is that allowed???

Knowing How to Play in the Rain

During my "lurking" phase, I've been reading like crazy. I even read the rules to play by as I don't want to disturb anyone's sandbox. So if I make any mistakes, hopefully someone will help me get back on the straight and narrow! Now if I could only figure out how to fix the header image thingy!!!!
