Henry County Georgia Economic News October 2010 - 11/16/10 05:10 PM
Dr. Roger Tutterow, Professor of Economics, Mercer University recently gave an address to the Henry Council for Quality Growth.  He's a great speaker for an economist!  Here are some highlights of his address:
-The recession ended last year!  That means things have stopped getting worse.  The economy is growing, but it takes years to recover.  It will take 42 months to get back to our old employment levels once we are adding our old level of 200,000 new, private sector jobs per month rate.  In October, we added 159,000 new private sector jobs.

Stats are out for October home sales.  Overall, sales were down 8% from September.  Here are some highlights:

Continuing research on homes sales in my area, I studied the golf course communities in Henry County.  The study was done for a period of 180 days back from the end of October.  Here is information on each one:
