Mortgage rates are low and inventories are shrinking, and that's good news for sellers and builders!  Buyers must be more aware of the risk of passing up a good deal these days.  Also, sellers are feeling more secure and confident that they can get their asking price or even expect a bidding war.  To be an attractive buyer, get your "ducks in a row" before house hunting.  This may mean getting a pre-qualified loan letter from a lender showing how much you can borrow.  It may also be a good time to check on your credit rating.  If a new house has more appeal, builders are looking for custom building projects as well.
