california: California Short Sale Tax relief bill stalled, probably to be vetoed by Schwarzenegger - 03/18/10 10:53 AM
Our California Governor is threatening to veto the tax bill (SBX8 32)passed by California lawmakers last week. As part of an LA Times blog article:
"Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced today that he would not sign a bill lawmakers passed to bring new tax relief to homeowners and green energy companies, in large part because it would ramp up the penalties against those who abuse such tax credits."
I say, follow the money. Look a the next paragraph:

california: On another note - Wells Fargo Short Sale - 07/19/08 04:48 PM
So on Countrywide, if you've been following along, things have slowed down again. In fact, the one that I got a call from a negotiator right away.. has stalled, and strangly this one , with a new offer we had just sent over , the first is NO LONGER SHORT! So its only the (also Countrywide) second that will be short. You'd think a negotiator would want to just get this off her desk and be done.. But we'll see...
But on another one... 30 days start to finish I just got an approval of a Wells Fargo (ASC) short sale. … (22 comments)

california: Allstate Insurance Stops Insuring California Homes - 05/11/07 12:14 PM
Because we are so catastrophe laden here in California, Allstate is no longer writing any new homeowner policies in California. They say they will still be renewing existing policies, just no more new . Allstate is one insurance company that has been requiring the earthquake gas shut off valves installed before COE for some time now and I guess this new step is just one more way to lessen their risk in our wonderful (but disaster full) state.
