When I was a baby Christian I was introduced to Cece because I told my friend... "I just can't get into Christian music." "It's either too religious, sappy, or pop-like." My friend gave me a Cece CD and I've been hooked since! It's my go-to, my pick-me-up CD, even 12 years later! My thanks to Laura Plemons (Carrollton, Texas) I'm already in a happier mood just writing this! Hope to see you there! As a GREEN Realtor I like to think everybody cares about GREEN but maybe not. When I took the time to start this venture I was told, and still today, that I’m too early in this game. Am I? “Expenditures on energy-efficient home improvements, which have been essentially flat over the past two years will see a period of strong growth through 2014, reaching $50.2 BILLION in that year.” - Pike Research, a Boulder Co market research firm and consulting firm for clean technologies

green home realty: Good News from Warren Buffet! - 08/19/11 06:00 AM
Mr. Warren Buffet granted an interview to CNBC called, Buffett Blasts Washington for 'Silly' Game of 'Russian Roulette'The focus was the overall economy but I found something in there to feed our spirit and say hurray! I'm just saying, if Mr. Buffet says it then it is true, in my humble opinion. On the U.S. economy, Buffett sees improvement in Berkshire's businesses, except for those associated with the construction industry, a sector that needs to play a "crucial" part in an economic rebound. He believes people underestimate how much lagging home construction is keeping the unemployment rate high. Buffett predicts we'll (8 comments)

green home realty: Don't Recycle - It wastes Resouces! - 08/17/11 09:26 AM
Don't Recycle - It wastes Resources! Are you kidding me? As a GREEN and EcoBroker I say - No. Think about it, it means a lot of electricity, heat, water, and other resources to recycle. So that begs the question, what to do with the grocery bags, especially those contaminated with meat or dairy? I live in San Antonio, Texas, a relatively green city. I find it terribly frustrating that every store uses plastic but only 3 stores offer recycling, and I'm happy to promote them: TARGET has an amazing sustainable living commitment, WAL-MART, & HEB GROCERY. I'm disappointed to (11 comments)

I read a post in between and saw a high level of vulgar & profane words and chain of comments responding. What a waste of e-space! I felt the need, opinionated as I am, to start a post on why it's inappropriate to talk that way. For fun, as I like to do (4 comments)

green home realty: Back to School Calendars - San Antonio, Texas - 08/10/11 07:43 PM
PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS San Antonio continues to experience rapid growth resulting in continuous re-assigning and re-districting of campuses. If schools are of interest or concern to you, the homeowner, we ask that you to acknowledge this occasional occurrence and verify your actual schools with your school district directly by phone. You should also be aware of “CAP & Transfer” policies. When a school is full, or near full capacity, it is “capped” resulting in the students being “transferred” to a nearby pre-assigned school. The schools that have this policy do their best to move your child back into attendance area (9 comments)

green home realty: BEST Brazilian Steakhouse - San Antonio, Texas - 07/26/11 08:44 AM
BEST Brazilian Steakhouse - San Antonio, Texas I'm a Foodie, I love food. All kinds of food. I eat almost anything that is prepared well, with great texture and flavor. Add a little ambiance and I'm there, repeatedly! As a steak lover and being Texan I jump at the chance to visit Saltgrass Steakhouse or Texas Land and Cattle. I don't frequent Morton's, Kirby's, or Ounce because I've eaten there and just don't find it a comfortable place to hang, the prices are too high (with respect to portions especially), and quite honestly, while the "quality of the steak" might be (8 comments)
green home realty: You Should Use a Realtor to Buy a New Home - 07/25/11 11:24 AM
Most buyers who seek to build a home don't think about asking a Realtor for help. Why? My guess is that they think it's like shopping for a car. That sounds all fine and dandy but did you know that the builder's sales rep has a fiduciary duty to the builder? You should use a Realtor for new home purchases because the sales representative's responsibility to (8 comments)
