Who will you vote for? - 01/30/08 07:57 AM
If you go to a place like www.VAJoe.com you can answer a quesionaire that will tell you which candidate is closest to your opinions. It will tell you which candidate is closest and then the next three closest. It may be, also, that candidates have these questionaires on their websites, too. After I answered, I was surprised at the candidate who was closest to my opinions and the party affiliation.
(Also,I found out about something very disturbing about how some detainees are being treated, and I emailed the President to beg him to stop this practice immediately.)

This woman bought her house during the boom, and now says she was misled and is disappointed and angry. She is accusing her agent of being dishonest about the prices of houses on the street. Some sold for $175,000 less. She said that three houses on the street were for sale and ones they didn't buy were better and had more features, pool, more square footage and were less. One of the Most Useful Technology Purchases - 01/23/08 07:57 AM
One of my most useful technology purchases has been electronic fax. I use Send2Fax, but I know there are several other companies out there. The faxes come straight to my email, where I can email them to clients, title companies, etc,, or send them as a fax from my computer without ever needing to print. It's good piece of mind, too, to know that if a hard copy gets misplaces, I still have the one in my email and/or saved in the property file on my hard drive. … (4 comments)

For Helpful Information Buyer's Representatives--Become ABR and join REBAC - 01/23/08 06:44 AM
As I receive my new issue of "Today's Buyer's Rep," I'm reminded about how valuable it is to be an ABR and a member of REBAC. Besides the news letter, I get a magazine that has so much information, it can take a month to read it. There is a Homebuyer's Toolkit that you can buy for your clients, too. Besides the helpful articles, this month is on presenting an offer, they always have a detailed write up of a court case involving buyer representation. I highly recommend it. … (5 comments)

How to Sell During this Market, from the Today Show, Part 1 - 01/14/08 06:55 AM
From the Today Show this morning:
Biggest Mistakes Sellers Make during this market:
1. Making small price reductions again and again. It's like chasing the tide and you never catch up to the market value. It's better to cut the price another 10%, and you may end up with people bidding on your house
2. Choosing the wrong broker. The top 10% of agents produce 90% of the commissions. Go ask the broker who are the top 5 in the office and then pick one of them.
3. Waiting to sell your home. Don't do it; sell it now, because everyone is thinking that way. … (2 comments)

IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES. Start with a 2 BR, 1 BA home, then add a 3rd 11X10'8 room, 2 (two) sunrooms, and a large attached workshop area. The heat/air, carpet, and shower are less than 3 years old and hardly used, and some electrical has recently been updated. Seller already had a home inspection and completed most of the repairs. Seller offers a $2, 000 paint allowance PLUS $2, 000 in closing costs AND the new washer & dryer stays. Square footage taken from tax records.
