vacant home staging: When Staging Isn't in the Budget!

There are tons of vacant listings in our local MLS. I am sure lots of listing agents talk to their sellers about the benefits of great presentation when a home is listed for sale. There may be some agents who shy away from mentioning staging because they've heard it costs too much. They don't want the seller to start worrying about cutting into the bottom line. The truth is, if a property doesn't show as well as competing properties it is likely to sit on the market a little longer. I've also heard from my staging friends that staging a vacant (4 comments)
"Richmond Area/Pecan Grove Plantation: Lovely 5 bedroom home with swimming pool on the golf course. Home was listed for 644 days at the time an offer was received. The offer came 62 days after staging and home tender placement."
I just received a call from a couple of happy sellers. They called to thank me for everything Turnkey Home Tenders did to help with the sell of their home. The great debate, to stage or not. Well maybe not that great of a debate, but it has come to question many times. We've all heard or read that furnished homes offer the opportunity for the buyer to envision themselves living in a property. It gives them "perspective" on where they would actually place their own furniture. We've also heard that furnished homes sell a tadbit faster than vacant ones. The one year anniversary for our home tending service is coming up in May. It has been a wonderful experience and there's still a lot of ground to cover as more (0 comments)
