My Creative Side is Showing! - 01/30/12 08:12 AM
I am totally loving the new Nikon D5100 that Santa brought me for Christmas. It has all kinds of really cool features. Of course, on Christmas Eve I was taking lots of pictures, trying different things and basically driving my family crazy. I was fascinated to find all the cool effects that were able to be done IN the camera without any special program. Here’s a normal, untouched picture of our Christmas Tree - Here’s the same picture after applying an outline effect -

Ever Wonder Why They Call Them The BLUE RIDGE Mountains? - 01/29/12 10:46 PM
A few days ago I was on my way to meet some buyer clients looking at homes in Hiawassee, Georgia. Of course, the camera is never out of reach when I’m riding (or driving) and I was able to get this beautiful shot of the fog that was covering the mountains like a cozy down blanket. You’ll be happy to know that I actually pulled off to the side of the road (WAY off) so that I could take my time and get a good shot.

As many of you know, Bill and I ride motorcycles. It’s great therapy when you can get out of the office, hop on your bike and take off into the mountains. Living in Western North Carolina we have some of the greatest roads in the world (really!) on which to ride.
We ride with a group called Southern Cruisers Riding Club and, as a group, SCRC supports St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Each year
fund-raising events are held with all the proceeds going to help the children who are treated (9 comments)
Just a bit ago I was reading a post that got me thinking. To give credit where credit is due the post, Positive Self-Talk, was originally written by Lou Ludwig and reblogged by Praful Thakkar. When something “gets me thinking” it usually means there are lots of random thoughts zinging around in my head like a bunch 5-year old kids in a bouncy house.
Here’s my attempt to organize those thoughts -
Is there an agent in your office who is just such a “Negative Ned” that no matter what you suggest to them the (3 comments)
Given the current market conditions we made a decision a couple of years ago to focus on marketing foreclosures. When working with a buyer who wants to look at foreclosed properties, it is a requirement that they get pre-qualified for a loan with a local lender before making an offer. In order for the process to go smoothly we ask that they provide it up front, in the beginning.
All the marketing efforts we have been doing lately have started to bring in a good amount of buyers, many of whom are looking for fair market (non-foreclosure) (15 comments)
