One of the first things a lot of our clients ask about when they buy a vacation home here is “where do I find one of those faces for my trees”. While some may find them a bit creepy, most think they are adorable. Be cautious though, they are like potato chips -- you can’t have just one!
While hiking with our friends Tish and Jon in Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest this past weekend, we came upon a Tree Face provided to us by Mother Nature and Father Time.
An old German Shepherd starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he's lost. Wandering about, he notices a panther heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch. The old German Shepherd thinks, "Oh, no! I'm in deep trouble now!"
Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the panther is about to leap, the old German Shepherd exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious panther! I wonder, if there are any more around here?" (7 comments)
teamdaves: Heaven's Mailbox? Or, Things That Make You Go Hmmmm!!!

While driving to preview a home, Bill and I passed by Shady Grove Cemetary in Murphy NC and came across this. The first to notice it, Bill stops and says, “Hey, you could write a post about this”!
I’m not sure, but I think this picture falls under the category of “Things That Make You Go - Hmmmm”.
Is there REALLY a need to have a mailbox at a cemetary?
The best part is knowing that he too is now looking for interesting things, not only to photograph (7 comments)
teamdaves: Ever Wonder Why They Call Them The BLUE RIDGE Mountains?
- 01/29/12 02:46 PM
A few days ago I was on my way to meet some buyer clients looking at homes in Hiawassee, Georgia. Of course, the camera is never out of reach when I’m riding (or driving) and I was able to get this beautiful shot of the fog that was covering the mountains like a cozy down blanket. You’ll be happy to know that I actually pulled off to the side of the road (WAY off) so that I could take my time and get a good shot.
If you've ever wondered why they call them the Blue (12 comments)

When Inspiration Hits.... While showing one of our listings on Saturday, the potential buyers wanted to walk the grounds and talk. I took the opportunity to grab the camera and shoot a few pictures! Inspired by such beauty around me, I stopped and photographed the barn on the drive home as well as a waterfall and a stand of River Cane by a creek.I’ve saved those for another day! Enjoy!Cyndi

teamdaves: Me? Me, Write A Blog?
- 05/21/11 02:00 PM
Saturday after RFL, I was incredibly tired and even more so BRAIN DEAD. So, I solicited the assistance of my business partner/husband to write his FIRST blog post. He didn’t do too bad and I hope you’ll give him the same patience you did me! Enjoy.....
Me? Me, Write A Blog?
I don’t think so. And especially after a 12 hour stint walking laps for the Relay For Life fundraiser. Did I neglect to mention that the main event kicked off at 7:00pm and officially ended at 7:00am the next day? That’s right, just after dinner (as (4 comments)
teamdaves: REALTOR® Party Political Survival Initiative
- 05/19/11 08:51 AM
As you are (hopefully) aware the National Association of Realtors has, after much debate, passed the REALTOR® Party Political Survival Initiative. Unless you have been backpacking in outer Mongolia for the last few months, I am relatively certain that you have heard about it.
While we all know that politics and religion are the two big giants that are best left sleeping, so to speak, some discussion should be had on the merits (or the lack thereof depending on your personal position) of this initiative.
