Another terrific 4th of July Fireworks Display in Amherst, NH is on tap again this year!   This is an annual celebration that my family looks forward to every year.   We plan a trip to the Souhegan High School football field and buckle in for an amazing and lengthy display of color, pops, whirs and "cannon fire".  

 
 
Fireworks are scheduled to begin Sunday night, July 3rd at Souhegan High School at Dusk.

This was a blustery week in Amherst, NH.  We had quite the wind storm and, believe it or not, a little snow this week.  Wow, April is going out with a roar for New Englanders.
I was out for a jog the day after a wind storm and noticed some debris on the road.  Not huge tree trunks or downed power lines, but branches and debris that made cars move into the on-coming traffic lane to avoid hitting obstacles.

If you’ve ever wondered whether filling in a small circle on a ballot really could be a swing vote, wonder no more. 

Town Election Day in Amherst, NH was Tuesday, March 8th.  It was a miserable, rainy day and many town roads were closed due to local flooding.  Folks who went to the polls on Tuesday should be commended because the extra effort to cast votes was a bit over-the-top, even for die-hard New Englanders.
