mortgage: Warning - AG Targeting Brokers - 11/19/06 02:33 PM
While reading the Origination News, I read an article highlighting that fact that the Colorado Attorney General was expected to subpoena at least 10 mortgage firms in their area, most of which are loan brokers. The reason is not about mortgage fraud, but rather about deceptive consumer advertising practices. I have always wondered how some companies get away with the advertisements they issue, whether in magazines and newspapers, or on the internet.
I personally think it is about time that they start a campaign to reel in those advertising false rates, whether interest or payment, or simply advertising rates that are likely … (27 comments)

We all have heard various things about the real estate market as a whole. The media bashes at the market and forecasts all point to doom and gloom in the coming months, even years. But what is really happening.
In reviewing numbers for the month of August given by FAR (Florida Association of Realtors) and NAR (National Association of Realtors), and basing it on the localities, we can see how it is affecting us here in Florida.
