Last November, the Homebuyer Tax Credit was extended giving first time home buyers a tax rebate of $8,000 and $6,500 for qualified buyers who already own their home.
The tax credit applies to homes purchased before April 30, 2010 and to homes under contract by April 30, 2010 which will close by June 30, 2010.
