2007!! What a year for real estate, in the words of Tommy Hopkins ‘Unbelievable!  House Markets falling, Bank repos all over, tough credit lending criteria. Massive builder incentives, banks closing, Bankruptcy filings tripling, the Dollar crashing, Gas prices at sickening levels (for realtors especially) and consumer debt at all time highs!  Plus a war the public is divided on.

So, what are you planning for 2008? Where is the business coming from, Who is going to be your Buyer? Seller?

Is 2008 the year the market will correct, what month / quarter. If not, when?

And more importantly, how are you preparing?

Are we having fun yet?

Are you increasing the 2008 overhead in the hopes of obtaining more business? Or eliminating, or perhaps taking a hard look at where those marketing and business dollars go.

What about your personal investments?  Real estate? Gold? Stocks? Mattress money?

Time to buy, sell or hold?

Who's going to get voted for president? Do you even care? If so why?

Are you changing your marketing strategies?  Commercial, international, residential, high rise?  Why? And how do you know it will work?

Financial goals? Survive or Thrive mode?

Now, more than ever is the time to take hold of our professional future and as individuals take stock of what we have and where we are going.

I wish every active rain member and reader a very Merry Christmas and less turbulent 2008.

Warm Regards
