california: Make your first year a pleasure instead of a burden - 11/12/09 01:23 PM
Every year hundreds of home buyers in our area purchase homes with problems, and then spend money on repairs that they did not expect. This can be both expensive and frustrating. There are many, many pitfalls from expensive air conditioning problems to a dishwasher going bad.
Even if you have the proper inspections, you are not protected from unforeseen problems. There are warranty plans available to every home buyer that cover everything from plumbing to roofing problems. Saving the expense of an unforeseen repair can make your first year in that new home a pleasure instead of a burden.

california: By the Numbers: West Covina's Unique Real Estate Position - 10/27/09 01:32 PM
Many conversations about where the market will go after the First-Time Home Buyers Tax Credit wears off is escalating, and although the National trend is pointing towards decline in prices and transactions I believe the Southern California Real Estate Market is in a unique situation that will save it from decline.
In West Covina, CA as of 11:02am on 10/27/2009 there are 115 Single-Family Residences available for sale (*Figure pulled from MRMLS and CAROTS data). The average rate that homes have been entering into contracts in West Covina has steadily been 55-60 homes a month. This past month 57 properties entered … (0 comments)

california: Is the madness going to end when school starts back up? - 08/28/09 03:56 PM
I have been recently asked this question and many similar questions recently. My answer to them have been fairly straight forward, but I believe it to be true.
Q: Is the Real Estate Madness going to end when school starts back up?A: No, I don't believe it will. The current market we are in now began forming almost a year ago to create the artifical real estate market we are in now.
Residential Real Estate prices rose marginally for the past three-to-four months, and I expect this trend not only to continue but actually SPIKE just before the credit falls off. … (4 comments)

california: Be safe out there. - 03/20/08 06:05 PM
Yesterday morning In West Covina, CA a woman called 911 about a burglar in her home. The burglar shot and killed her WHILE she was on the telephone with the 911 operator. Needless to say there was not much police could do once they got to her home.
In many large cities it can take several minutes before you even get connected with a 911 operator. Once that happens your emergency has to be first understood by the operator and then transmitted to a local dispatcher, who in turn, must relay the information to the patrol officers on the street. Patrol … (2 comments)

california: 8 Truths for 2008 - 03/18/08 07:01 PM
Transformation Truth #1: Either you are truly moving forward or you aren’t.We were all born to move forward: to crawl, to walk, to run, to grow, to push ourselves diligently toward our destinies and dreams. Unfortunately, many of us have let our fears and the need for safety weigh us down. We’ve stopped taking the leaps and bounds and chances needed to get us closer to the life we desire. Tragically, too many of us have settled into jobs that lead nowhere, relationships that sink our spirits, and habits that hold us back. To prevent that or become more focused, ask … (3 comments)
