Michael, Farrah, and Ed....Farewell.... - 06/25/09 06:23 PM
First of all, I don't usually blog about just anything...meaning things completely unrelated to real estate, but this really comes as a surprise to me so I felt like blogging about it... I just received a call from my mom saying Michael Jackson just died...It's all over the news channels...Apparently he had been rushed to the hospital earlier today due to cardiac arrest. What ever happened he didn't survive... Strangely enough, I'm sure this doesn't effect as many people quite the same as it would have if he'd passed away in his "hey day". I remember being a kid and obsessing (7 comments)
Answers To: How Much Money Is Needed To Buy A Home? - 06/25/09 04:27 PM
If you are a first time homebuyer, you may not be familiar with some of the costs associated with purchasing a home. Owning a home is definitely better than giving your money to a landlord every month, but there are some things you need to make sure you save for when making a purchase. 1. Earnest Money. If you place an offer on a home it is typical to offer earnest money to let the seller know you are serious about buying their property. While you may be able to get away without submitting an earnest money deposit as part (0 comments)

Here's Yer Sign! No Really, Newer Agents Should Keep Sign Ordinances in Mind... - 06/23/09 08:49 PM
OK, so I'm not giving you your sign, but one thing agents new to the business (or those that are selling their home by owner) should keep in mind is Sign Ordinances for your City or Town. If you work multiple counties as I do you need to make sure you keep up on what is and isn't allowed as they can vary greatly. Some counties, cities, towns, etc. may or may not allow the use of directional signs or Open House signs. Some may require you to obtain written permission to place your sign while others may not. Not only do you (13 comments)
The Food in Indianapolis is HOT HOT HOT!!! - 06/10/09 10:07 AM
Apparently the Travel channel and Alison Stein Wellner (an apparent well known food critic) were on a quest to find the spiciest food in the world...that's right, the world! She traveled to Germany, India, Honduras, Nashville, and finally Indianapolis Indiana. She was there for the Indy 500 and they decided to go to Harry and Izzy's , which is the sister (more casual) restaurant to St. Elmo Steak House. Here you can order St. Elmo's famous shrimp cocktail... Well apparently, Alison hadn't heard of St. Elmo's or their shrimp cocktail and didn't think a thing about it when she ordered it. (4 comments)
My Blog Entry Was Indexed Within 15 Minutes... - 06/03/09 07:09 PM
Wow! I just posted my Market Report at 7:36 PM Eastern Time and it was indexed by Google before 7:51 PM. I'm still learning SEO, but wow 15 minutesto index isn't bad! I checked Google to see where it placed in the search results...It's on Page 7which doesn't seem bad for a new post with a relatively broad search term (broad ripple real estate). As I learn more about SEO hopefully I'll be able to get those numbers up, but for now, that's not to shabby! :) (16 comments)
